Theologos Michellis

Theologos Michellis comes from the Northeast island of Dodecanese, Patmos.

Grandson of big violinist of island, took his first courses in the violin from 9 years. From this age he participated systematically in cultural events and in concerts, playing all over Greece. At the same time he watched intensive courses of European Music and afterwards he studied Superior theoretical.

He is graduate of Harmony, Antistixis and enorganosis-Instrumentation. In the age of 17 years he extracted the first Pan-Hellenic reward of traditional violin in the school fights. He is alumnus the Department of Musical Study of June of University in the direction of Folk musicology. In the duration of musical study he participated with the University in important concerts in Greece and Abroad with climax 2002 in Irodeio and Palace of Music Athens 2005-2006.

Moreover in the last few years he teaches the course of Music in the First degree Education. The interval 2007 up to 2011 existed Academic collaborator in the University Macedonia teaching in the sector Interpretation and Implementation of Traditional Violin and Totals of Traditional Music.

He organized educational excursions of inquiring character with his Totals in Syra, Kalymnos, Leros, Patmos, while he was the basic rapporteur in the Seminars of Traditional Music for young persons that took place in Leros.

He is intensely activated with dancing associations participating in representations in Greece and the Abroad. He collaborated also with known composers and interpreters: Christos Leontis, Maria Anamateroy, Lakis Chalkias, Areti Ketime, Antonis Mitzelos, Vassilis Lekkas and others.

He has, also, participated in television emissions. His presence is also active in the discography, with more important his attendance in the disk of Maria Anamateroy "Where loves and where ground", where it has made also the musical assiduity and instrumentation.
