Milan Savic

Milan Savic graduated saxophone at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, in the class of Gordan Tudor, and also clarinet at the Belgrade Faculty of Music in the class of Ante Grgin.

He finished elementary and secondary school in the Josip Slavenski Music School in Belgrade, in the class of Prof. Predrag Stefanovic. During the period of his musical development, he attended schools and seminars in various countries.

As a young clarinetist, in his student days, he performed as a soloist at the Mokranjac days, at Kolarac Concert Hall and throughout Serbia, accompanied by the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra. He won several prizes at national competitions and festivals, and made guest appearances in various television and radio shows on RTS, STB, RTV and B92.
That saxophone is truly his primary instrument is proved by the fact that he had several recitals at the National Library, as well as the Cultural Center of Belgrade. He also performed at Kolarac Concert Hall with Radio Symphony orchestra, Metamorphosis Chamber Orchestra and made premiere performances of compositions by authors such as Ivan Jevtic, Aleksandar Sedlar Bogoev, Ante Grgin, etc.

In addition to recitals, he is often engaged in the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, RTS Symphony Orchestra, the theater Madlenianum, performing in concerts and tours in the country and abroad. He also performs in chamber ensemble with pianist Ivana Karajkov, ensembles Gradiliste (Construction Site), Simfonieta and others.

Since 2006 he has been a professor of clarinet and saxophone in Josip Slavenski Music School in Belgrade, and his students are winners of many awards at national and international competitions. Milan Savic is the Director of the Belgrade Saxperience Festival that aims to host the most important saxophonists of our time in Serbia.
